"Let me be a baby"
How many times do you go to church and you witness someone give their life to Christ?
Probably every Sunday. Did you know when a person decides to give their life to Christ and repents the angels in heaven are rejoicing? Read Luke 15:10
Rejoicing! Excited! Joyful! Again Rejoicing!
But what are the Christians are earth doing? Immediately going to "fix" and "rescue" mode! That's not right!
MY STORY ( I love being transparent yal)
When I gave my life to Christ I was BROKEN!! I had been out of "the game"(the true term is trafficked) for only a year. I hadn't identified myself as a victim or even felt I had been victimized and I still carried "the game" mentality. I hadn't been to church since I was a teenager. I didn't have any church clothes I had "ho" clothes.
No one asked me if I had any clothes but instead the elders were pulling my skirt down and covering up my chest. Which I get the whole concept but while the Christians were trying to fix the outside of me God and the angels were still rejoicing that a sinner has accepted Christ and repented.
No one allowed me to just be a baby in Christ.
People on social media were taking jabs at me too because I was clubbing and going to church.
*****Let God convict the people. He doesn't need you tearing down his new babies.*************
The church has forgotten that we must allow new Christians to go through their "baby" phase with Christ.
"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, AFTER you have suffered a little while will HIMSELF RESTORE YOU AND MAKE YOU STRONG, FIRM, AND STEADFAST."
1 Peter 5:10
GOD himself will restore his people. God will convict a person when it's time for them to make a change in the beginning of their walk.
Their babies in Christ and don't know The Word yet. Maybe their a backslider and haven't had a personal relationship with Christ and have only had the surface and religious based relationship with God. You don't know the WHY to their reason for dressing provocatively, clubbing, drinking, or etc.... This could be a coping mechanism to deal with their pain. (It was for me)
Again: LET THEM BE BABIES IN CHRIST.
Now if God leads you to speak the truth in love and you feel led by The Holy Spirit go for it. But if your looking at the "sin" forgetting about Gods grace and unable to see the broken heart hidden under the sin STOP and let GOD lead...
I've always been in a rush to do everything. Growing up I was the little girl you called "fast". That's why at the age of 25 I've seen and experienced more than a lot of people ever will in their entire life. So when I was bombarded with "steps to Christianity" I dived right in. Only to fall and crash a few months in and realize that I was moving yet again in my own strength and not allowing God to do the work.......I had to stop and allow myself to just be a baby in Christ.
So if your a new babe in Christ reading this I want to encourage you to DON'T give up! If your struggling with something right now GOD is with you all the way. If He is convicting you in your spirit to make a change in some areas in your life Trust Him and walk it out! He won't take something away and not replace it with something much greater! HIS LOVE! It's going to hurt. You may fall! Just get back up and keep trying!!!
To the seasoned Christians reading this... Let the newbies in Christ be babies! Love them. Support them. Encourage them. Allow God to convict. Speak the truth in love. Realize everyone expresses pain in a different way ms for most people it's bondage to a particular sin. That sin habit didn't occur overnight and in most cases it won't end overnight. Don't get it twisted with God it is possible but be prepared for those who change doesn't happen over night.
Be patient and just let them be a baby!!!
Love ya,
Blessings
