"Why I don't wear Jordan's anymore"

Growing up I loved Jordan's. That's really an understatement. I idolized Jordan's. I had to have them. Even when I knew we were struggling I would still beg and beg for those Jordan's. Why?  I thought they gave me life. When I put my feet in those Jordan's it came with popularity and so much attention. My self esteem was raised when I put my feet IN Jordan's.  Jordan's brought validation and it to others it made me cool.  By the time I turned fourteen I got my first job to start buying my own Jordan's. That's how bad it was.  Then time passed on a I became an adult. When I put my feet IN those Jordan's nothing changed. I was no longer popular. Nobody cared about the shoes I wore. I had also became my mother at 18 and those Jordan's I could no longer afford.  But more than anything I realized that those shoes only brought about a false confidence.  I want to ask you. What shoe, outfit, car, weave, relationship, or job do you put on that brings...
