Jesus Still Saves

"I didn't care about me. Nobody cared about me."
Let me explain.
I cared about making it to work, how I looked, and up keeping an image that wasn't true to who I desperately wanted to be.
I simply desired a life of freedom but I didn't know how to obtain it. So I followed the path and ways that were presented to me.
People cared more about being entertained by my brokenness, keeping their secrets verses allowing me room to walk in total freedom even if it exposed ugly truths.
People cared about how I dressed verses the tears I wiped away at night.

Christ reminded me that Life was bigger than a car, a job, status, title, who hurt me, and having money with no purpose.
Christ gave me permission to care and love me again BECAUSE of my flaws.
Christ gave me purpose.
Christ gave me substance.
In a world that is driving us to care about self-promoting our image, covering up and hiding our scars, and  placing our identity in vanity Christ intervened and gave my life true meaning.
I am ever so grateful that today I can look back over my life and still see His shadow glowing in my darkest hour.
I wrote this to encourage you that Jesus Christ still saves.
No matter where you are in life there is still hope.
