It's Black History Month!!!!!
So it's black history month and everyone is posting quotes from African Americans who have paved the way. But my spirit is baffled and I ask myself, "In what ways are we making history today?"
If you stare too long you may think that we're really passionate about "Black History Month" and celebrating one another. I challenge you to stick around until March or maybe even 9pm tonight.

We will go back to degrading our women, hating one another, seeking attention in all the wrong ways, and even giving up our freedom for a simple bowl of soup. Not soup, but a like or comment on social media. Or maybe a pair of Jordan's, rent money, or a Michael Kors bags..
The question is raised again, "In what ways are you making history?"
You see we've been deceived into believing that in order to make history or be significant you must be a "celebrity" and somehow be seen by some big huge audience.
But Dr. King never once said because he had an audience he then had a dream.
It was because he had a dream that he then had a following and made history.
Again I ask, "In what ways are you making history?"
So many of us today struggle with our identity and since we do we often times lack the vision to dream.
This month and forever more lets always celebrate and honor those that came before us.
But lets go a step further and begin to dream dreams of our own. We can't do that until we start to see the value in I ME YOU WE and US and most importantly GOD.
Often times I dread to enjoy holidays and awareness months because the passion always seems to fade away.
Remember,
Making history is NEVER about being a celebrity or making a headline. It's always about making history on the hearts of the people you know.
So celebrate our history but begin to start making history of your own that can one day be celebrated.
Love you guys!!!
