Young folks "In Church"

At bible study my pastor made a statement saying "young folks don't know nothing about God. They don't love the Lord."

I was so sad but then my Spiritual Mother told me," baby he ain't lying when you think about it.'  So I thought about it. When you look at our actions you see fornication (sex outside marriage), adultery (cheating married spouses), lying tongues, gossiping, fighting, anger, malice, drunkenness, and more all from church going young folk. People who are of the world simply don't know God so they use every excuse, every pain, every hurt as their excuse to sin and keep on sinning. Here we are "in church" but still falling victim and using excuses to sin.
No ONE will ever be sinless but we all should be sinning less or striving to sin-less. Instead we are wallowing and living freely in sin. Why is that? Do we not love God enough to start making changes? Or do we feel like Jeremiah did, " Alas, Sovereign Lord, I said, " I do not know how to speak, I am too young." ~ Jeremiah 1:6
Do you think your too young to start making better moves or be serious about God and building up the kingdom?
It is more to church than just Sunday service. Just how there is more involved in going to the club. Club=hair, make-up, outfit, haircut, money, gas etc.
God requires more of you as well when you make that commitment to become apart of his church. Sunday School, different ministries to get involved in to serve Christ, bible study to increase your knowledge and faith in God, tithes and offering and etc.

But then the young folks say," come on now get with the program nobody is getting married; everybody is doing IT so why can't I?" "That church stuff is boring", "I can drink and handle my liquor." "Can't nobody tell me what to wear or how to talk." "God know my heart."(Rolling your neck and all.. lol)
We're fighting so hard to break traditions we are forgetting the importance of our salvation and the direction given to us since we are called. Called out of darkness to be a witness for Christ but instead we are witnessing for the devil. We come to church on Sunday miss bible study on Wednesday but be at happy hour on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. We will miss activities in the church on Saturday but Saturday night be parked in V.I.P. at the club go to breakfast afterwards and miss Sunday school and barely make it to church before the pastor starts preaching. We flood our ears with gossip about Betty from high school who you never liked anyway. Listen to rappers who rap about strippers and popping Molly's while that same rapper goes home to his wife and kids every night.

Pastors says young folks don't care nothing about God.

When Jeremiah tried to us his age as an excuse The Lord said, " Do not say I am too young. You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you", says the Lord. Jeremiah 1:7,8.

Ephesians 5:15-21
English Standard Version (ESV)
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,  making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

No excuses! Our time is now. Settle the matter take it to the alter and start fresh! I did.

When I first became apart of a church I kept right along doing me. I didn't understand the importance of the commitment I made. I was clubbing drinking dating and sexual active and going to church. God convicted me. I repented I sought forgiveness and I got up and tried again.

I was trying to mix my worldly beliefs with God beliefs and that don't work. Out with the old in with the new! You have to get rid of that old junk  that old way of thinking and put on a new way. Gods way. Its hard but its worth it. A lot of our heartache comes from wrong choices.

Wrong choices most times come from lack of knowledge. Increase your studies.

Therefore I urge you brothers and sisters in view of Gods mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:1,2

Yes God does know our hearts which is why we are to ask him to create us a new one. A clean and pure one so that you can stop living only to please your lust filled desires and one day start surrounding your being around fulfilling HIS purpose for your life.
